The ChickenGuard Pro is the flagship coop autoopener for the brand. If you’ve had ChickenGuard autoopeners before (as we have), they’ve combined the best of the Premium and Extreme models to deliver the PRO.

We’ve used ChickenGuard autoopeners for years and trust them completely. In fact, they were the very first autoopeners we bought.

The ChickenGuard Pro has

• 4 Open/Close Options – Choose from light sensor/timer/manual or Dualsafe. You can mix and match so choose to open on a timer and close based on light levels.
• Lux Adjustment – Adjsut the light levels that trigger your autoopener to open or close the door
• Compatible – Works with most existing coop setups (see our guide below)
• Powerful Motor – Will lift doors up to 2kg
• Weatherproof – Designed to work in extreme conditions
• Power Choice – Use batteries (4 x AA alkaline, included in the box) or mains (DC 9-12 volts , must be purchsaed seperately)

Will it Fit my Coop?

There are 3 measurements that you need for your autoopener:

1. The size of your door
2. The space where your door will be pulled into
3. Space for the ChickenGuard Pro.

Once you have measured 1 & 2, the measurements you’ll need for “3” (The ChickenGuard Pro) are  Width 16.7cm, Height 9.3cm.

The ChickenGuard Pro Auto-opener will also fit the Nestera Chicken House, Lodge and Penthouse, although we do recommend that a Nestera Auto-opener is purchased for these models. The Nestera auto-opener is specifically designed to work with the pie-crust shaped door .
