The Wagon is the flagship, luxury model from the Nestera range. Our price is a significant discount on the Recommended Retail Price of £895.

We love it (so much so that we have two) and our chickens love it too. We have been using Wagons for a number of years, indeed we had the first one released to the public in the UK. The Wagon has 4 large wheels (each with a chock to lock it in place on slopes) and is the easiest coop to move that we have ever found – one person can easily move it. The Wagon is low to the ground and has a shallow ramp and so is excellent for bantams and less agile birds (like our Buff Orpingtons). This easy access also makes them suitable for raising chicks (chicks don’t cope well with ladders or steep ramps).

Nestera suggest this size for 5 Buff Orpingtons, 8 Large Fowl like Warrens or 15 Bantams. We find that you can get 8 bonded Orpingtons in the coop.

The Wagon is equipped with three easily removable perches and two nesting boxes. The easily removable perches make this design particularly suitable for chickens that prefer to sleep on the ground and broody hens

The coop features adjustable ventilation on the rear wall and fixed ventilation on the sides. They also have excellent thermal insulation to offer comfortable temperatures all year round

With a very large front door the Wagon offers full access to the interior for quick and easy cleaning. Nestera coops have far less places for red mites to hide and reproduce, compared to wooden coops as they have limited joints. Wooden coops generally have lapped wood, provided multiple havens for mites. Being recycled plastic the chicken coops ensures cleaning is easy and complete mite eradication is possible. We use a jet wash on ours!

The coops are made from 9mm-thick recycled plastic. This minimises their environmental impact and also offers a lifespan far greater than any wooden coop. We have been using Nestera coops for years and they have required no maintenance but still look fantastic. The coops are resistant to UV, and won’t degrade over time, which is why they have a guarantee for 25 years!
