Corrugated cardboard mats that give newly hatched chicks a soft surface with good grip to find their feet on. A pack of 6 (dispose after use as they get covered in chick poop etc.). We use these with every hatch although you can make your own if you are handy

Evaporating blocks (pack of 3) for Ovation 28 EX

These blocks really assist the EX models so that water dripped by the humidity pump evaporates quickly and levels are held in the optimal range

The Ovation 28 EX has the convenience of programmable cradle turning for reliable egg turning combined with digital thermostatic controls and an automatic humidity pump. Comes supplied with cradles suitable for up to 28 hens eggs or duck eggs. Large egg carriers can also be purchased which can hold up to 9 goose eggs or by using the “double row” feature, 66 quail / 57 pheasant eggs.

Comes supplied with one, single use, hatching mat – it’s worth considering buying an extra pack for future hatches.
